My Mistake In Believing
Keegan William Kangas

(Michigan inmate #937832)
- Aftermath -

Despite the time which has elapsed, Kangas has not done as he promised, i.e., show why the Facebook messages on his earlier account do not indicate guilt.
I am not surprised, but I am disappointed. I expected him to at least try and explain his behaviour. I feel as if I have been the unwitting victim, not only of a steady stream of lies but of gross deception.
What saddens me is that Kangas was fully aware I am in very poor health and yet this made no difference to him. I have tried to make excuses for him, e.g., he only did what he had to do because of his difficult circumstances. The problem is that this does not even begin to account for his behaviour, as he encouraged me to begin and manage the 'campaign' to assert his innocence and gain exoneration, even though he would have known this was impossible. I therefore wasted many hundreds of hours of my own, limited, time.
I suspect there has been a succession of people before me who have been taken in by his claim to be innocent and tried to assist him until they realised his claim was false. I hope this website will serve as a public warning that will prevent others from falling foul of Kangas's deception and having the type of experience that I had.
