The following are from pages 4 and 6 of the Plea Hearing on 21 April 2014, for Keegan Kangas (my underlining). He rejected the plea offer,
but despite this and the fact that he was found guilty of the heinous crimes of which he was accused, he was sentenced to 5-15 years.
This is a far cry from the maximum sentence of 45 years that was mentioned in the Plea Hearing. If he secures parole in 2019, this means
he will have only served a seventh of the maximum sentence about which Judge (Lambros) and Defence Attorney (Jen France) warned
him in the Plea Hearing. As stated elsewhere on this site, he got off lightly...
